Help Lakeisha Beat Breast Cancer!

Donation protected
This October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are reaching out to garner support for someone who is near and dear to our hearts.

Lakeisha was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer but before we learn more about her diagnosis, let's learn about Lakeisha's work and her mission in life.

Lakeisha Ellison, a multi-talented entertainer and passionate humanitarian, has dedicated her life to empowering youth, promoting mental wellness, and uplifting her community. Now, she needs our help.

Lakeisha’s work has touched countless lives. She has led arts workshops for young people, helping them pursue their dreams, and has been a mentor, teacher, and director. Her most recent project was with the Area Youths Foundation at the Trench Town Polytechnic College, where she worked tirelessly to provide creative opportunities for underprivileged youth. Though that project has ended, she is still finalizing a final show to be filmed, ensuring the young participants get the spotlight they deserve.

Her deep commitment to mental health inspired her to become the Director of the Mental Wellness Team at the Trench Town Impact Group (TTIG) - a non-profit group created by past/current residents of Trench Town and friends of friends from Trench Town to improve the community. Under her leadership, the group helped revitalize the mental health ward at Kingston Public Hospital, providing essential supplies to those in need. TTIG has also supported local schools, libraries, and homes for the elderly in Trench Town, although the group’s work is currently paused due to a lack of sponsorship.

Lakeisha’s dedication to community service started in her teenage years, and her efforts have never wavered. As a founding member of the Trench Town Culture Yard, she has volunteered as a tour guide, Drama Teacher, and mentor for years.

Her vision for the future remains bright, even in the face of her current battle with stage 2 breast cancer.

Lakeisha views her diagnosis not as a defeat, but as a stepping stone. Her cancer journey has strengthened her resolve to help others help themselves—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. She wants to empower people to embrace healing habits, both physically and mentally, to prevent illness and live fuller lives. She believes in the power of love, gratitude, and self-awareness, and she is ready to share this message with the world.

But to continue this incredible mission, she needs our support. Medical treatments are expensive, and Lakeisha’s financial situation makes it difficult to cover the costs alone. We can help her access the care she needs to beat cancer and continue her journey of giving back to others.

Lakeisha says cancer is not a death sentence, and she’s not going anywhere—except forward. She is filled with love, peace, gratitude, and hope, and she is determined to live out her purpose. Let’s help her in this fight so she can continue spreading light, love, and healing wherever she goes.

Your donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in Lakeisha’s battle against cancer and help her fulfill her dream of healing the world. Thank you for supporting her on this journey.

Together, we can make a difference.
