Our dear friend Lakia Amos, a single mother and a true warrior, is currently battling for her life against an aggressive form of Leukemia. The doctors have recently delivered the devastating news that time is slipping away, leaving Lakia with limited days left to grace this world to join her precious daughter, De’ja (6/3/99-2/20/09) in heaven.

Through her inspiring journey, Lakia has overcome numerous obstacles, demonstrating strength and determination that is truly remarkable. Yet, in this darkest hour, she finds herself in need of support and security for her cherished children. Lakia's young ones, still in school and full of love and dreams, deserve a future filled with hope and stability, even in the face of profound loss.

In this trying time, Lakia has found solace in the unwavering presence of her best friend, Ebony, who stands by her side, offering unwavering support during hospital visits and endless nights. As Lakia prepares for the worst, she has expressed her deepest concern for her children's well-being once she is no longer able to be there for them.
