Help Lama Relocate From Gaza

My name is Simone Umba and I, as well as several individuals, are fundraising on the behalf of Lama Abu Jamous and her father.

As many of you know, Lama has become a voice for the children of Gaza during this time. For someone only nine years old, she has been able to show us what Palestinians have been enduring under the bombardment that Israel has been committing over the past 3 months.

Last week, Lama's father had reached out to me through social media saying that he was trying to evacuate Lama to Egypt for her safety as the situation in the Gaza Strip is getting worse. He loves is country and doesn't want to leave but he wants to save his daughter from this genocide. He has the hope of her being able to return in the future and be a voice of truth for the people of Palestine.

The funds being raised are for Lama and her father to evacuate into Egypt through the Rafah Crossing for their safety and be able to live in a safe place where they can survive. The costs are estimates on the costs of needs for them.

$20,000- Asylum Fees

$24,000- Living Expenses

$300- Travel Documents (Visas, Residence Permits, etc.)

$500- Necessary Transportation

The funds will be transferred to an account that will be made primarily for them and will be transferred through wire or money services. If the goal is not reached, all donations will be refunded per GoFundMe's current policy.
