Lanae Beasley is 20 years old and is a junior in college. She received her associates degree at St. Charles Community College. She plans to further her education at Missouri State University to get her bachelors degree in speech pathology. Lanae is a talented musician, loving friend, sister, and daughter, and can instantly brighten up the room with her contagious smile. Lanae handles life challenges with a great attitude and determination. This car accident will be no exception.
On Monday morning at 6am on December 28th, 2020 Lanae Beasley was in a serious car accident. She broke 3 bones in her neck, a broken clavicle, a broken shoulder, and suffered three small puncture wounds to her brain and one to her lung. She is receiving treatment at the St. Louis University Hospital. She was in the ICU for 4 days and underwent a spinal fusion surgery. Due to her scoliosis, this was her second spinal fusion surgery. The rest of her hospital stay is undetermined and she will be going through extreme physical therapy going forward.
Looking forward, Lanae is especially lucky to not have suffered any permanent damages or paralysis. We are hoping she is on the road to a full recovery!
