Help Landon Kai recover from Heart Surgery

My name is Landon Kai. I am a 6 months old, Asian, American, Hispanic baby! I was born with Down Syndrome and a heart defect. I have a heart ASD/VSD. Mom and dad have been paying medical bills upwards of $500 per visit to monitor my heart since mom was 20 weeks pregnant. The OB advised her she was still in time to get an abortion when they found out about my heart defect and growth issues. Mom and Dad said no, we will have this baby and he is strong and will live. She said Landon has a special purpose and will change the world. Mom still says this to me. Mom and Dad have worked so hard to save me and bring me into this world. Mom even went on bedrest to make sure I would grow as I was an IUGR baby with growth restrictions. She got me to 37 weeks gestation and 4lbs. She gained 70 lbs trying to feed me to help me get bigger. After birth she has been taking me to the top Cardiologist in our city. I have all kinds of therapists, physical therapists, occupational. Mom even pays for my medicine out of pocket because the insurance does not cover it. My dad had to quit his job and passion as a Jiujitsu Professor and Athlete to take care of me because of my heart condition. They fear they are the only ones who can protect me.. I have even seen 13 specialists in my lifetime, which is more than mom has ever seen, because of my extra chromosome and how proactive my parents have been since my diagnosis. Luckily, I am mostly well and an overall healthy baby boy. I am smiling all the time and grew from 4 lbs to now 15 lbs. Mom wanted to do further research, as she was still concerned about my heart and looked up the best Cardiac Pediatric Doctors and she came across Boston Children’s Hospital. She decided to ask them for a second opinion, as she had just been waiting for the Cardiologist to advise if and when I needed surgery and it had been 5 months with no definitive dates since birth. The Hospital requested a sedated echocardiogram to provide additional details of the heart. Boston advised that not only did I have two holes in my heart, which are not as concerning to them, but that I have Pulmonary Vein Stenosis which is a rare condition that is very serious. I have a few veins that are narrowing and I am saturating below 82%. I was not getting all the oxygen I need to properly take care of my lungs and heart. The Doctors’ monitoring me for five months of life did not find this, and we had to fix my heart to make sure I did not have heart failure or lung issues. Mom and Dad are very scared and worried. I am not sure what is going on, but I am in this hospital with nice nurses taking care of me. Mom said that even though she has just small savings and a few credit cards the hotel will cost $15,000 per month, not including the cost of food, travel, transportation, dog care for our dogs while we are gone, ect. The total of our stay is looking more like $25,000 and we have not even received the deductibles from the insurance and coverage information. Most of mom’s cards are maxed out as Mom took some unpaid time off work to spend time with me after birth and she has been paying over $6,000 of medical bills for all of my Doctor visits this year even though we have insurance. Not to mention all the formula and diapers I consume. She feels bad asking for money, as she is a hard working professional and always gives back to other causes. Children causes, dog causes, community causes ect. I told her now is her time to ask for help. Boston is the best hospital for the treatment I need. The only hospital that has a Pulmonary Vein Stenosis team. I am in the hospital and will be here for 3-4 weeks, and another 4 weeks for recovery and my parents need some help.
