Help Lane Bolin on His Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On May 27, 2024 Lane with the rest of his family was packing up from the long memorial weekend from camping up wickiup. He was helping put the fire out that had been going all weekend. He was standing on a rock by the fire pit when he decided to kick the big chunk of snow/ice that was placed on top, that rock slipped out from under him which caused him to fall forward towards the fire pit. Lane ended up with his right leg/foot going directly into the steam and boiling water. We quickly ran him to the lake to try to cool off his leg/foot and get the ash off of him. From quick thinking of friends we put him in the car with a bucket and a bunch of water bottles to pour on the wound while we headed down the hill for cell service and to get him to a hospital. We rushed him to RiverBend and they got him right back to be seen, he was then transferred up to the Oregon Burn Center in Portland. On Friday May 31st he had surgery they did an Autograft with Recell over lay. After the “over lay” he had a wound dressing change on June 5th and the doctor came in and said everything was looking great and the graft was taking.
Lane is on his way to recovery but he still has a long road ahead of him. He will be in Portland at the burn center for a while longer and then will have multiple doctor’s visits once he gets home.
Any funds raised will be used to help the Bolin family with any medical bills that insurance doesn’t cover, to help with transportation for Lane’s doctor appointments, and any other necessity the family needs while Lane is recovering. Any leftover funds the Bolin family will donate to another burn victim and their family/families.
