Help Lanvin Enjoy Precious Time with Loved Ones

Hi everyone! I am Kelly, and I am raising funds for my father-in-law, Lanvin LeBlanc. In November of 2023, he received a devastating diagnosis of having advanced, inoperable pancreatic cancer. The doctors quickly informed him that he has a type of cancer that cannot be cured; however, he can fight to extend his life for as long as possible. For the sake of his family, he chose to fight.

If you've ever had the pleasure of meeting Lanvin, you would know him as "Lanvin LeBlanc from Lafitte," as he would introduce himself. He has been a Louisiana commercial shrimp fisherman all his life, 51 years to be exact. Unfortunately, shortly after his diagnosis, he was told he could no longer work again. Now, with all of the emotions of having cancer, he and my mother-in-law are faced with the financial struggles of what comes with it. No one should have to struggle at a time in their life where they hope to be slowing down and enjoying the life they have built. This struggle is now placed on my mother-in-law to try and work and make ends meet while also taking care of him and spending what time they have left together.

My father-in-law is a husband of over 40 years, a father to 4 beautiful girls, a grandfather to 7 beautiful grandkids, and to many, a dear friend. He is one of the most kind-hearted people you will ever meet. What I hope from this is to help alleviate some of the financial burdens that are here now and will still be here long after he is gone, so that he can enjoy the time he has left with his family stress-free.
