Help Lara and Family.

Hello everyone, we are a group of friends that have come together to help our dearest friend, Lara. We had initially started this GoFundMe campaign to help raise funds for costs during her hospital treatments and hopefully offset costs for Lara to more out-of-hospital visits with her daughter Alyssa.

Unfortunately, despite fighting hard for so long, Lara lost her battle to cancer on September 6th.

Lara was an open and welcoming person with a huge heart. She touched so many people, and her presence was known and felt everywhere, from school events to taking her young daughter to swimming or dance classes. Always ready to help, chat and make any event a brighter place.

Lara had her first battle with Leukaemia in August 2020 and during that time she showed the world what it meant to fight for what you love. She proved to everyone how strong she was and how with the right mindset you can accomplish anything.

Sadly, Lara’s cancer came back aggressively in March of this year. She fought with optimism and heart until the very end, showing us what it means to never give up. During this challenging time, her devoted husband Steve and 8 year old daughter Alyssa were her constant support and cheerleaders.

Of course, nothing could fill the void that has been left behind by Lara’s premature departure. At a time like this, all we can do is support those she has left us to watch over.

Any contributions would be greatly appreciated and would be used to help support Alyssa and Steve as they transition to life without Lara.
