Help Larry and Carol Reavis with Cancer Expenses

I am Carol Leamon. For over 40 years I have been a good friend of Carol Reavis and Larry since he and Carol re-met. My husband, Mike, has known them both for over 50 years. Carol and Larry have always been there to lend a hand when a friend needs them. NOW THEY NEED OUR HELP!

Larry was diagnosed with cancer last fall. Due to unforeseen and near-catastrophic events, his treatment (which was to start November 6, 2021) was put on hold. On October 30, Larry was with his buddies in Franklin, NC, enjoying one last fun weekend before beginning the grueling chemo and radiation therapy. While there, he suffered a critical medical emergency. He was transported to Asheville Mission because they were better equipped to handle the severity of the situation. Paramedics saved his life twice in the back of the transport ambulance. He was in extremely critical condition, non-responsive and suffering possible organ failures. He spent 12 days in two different Intensive Care Units in two different hospitals on life-saving equipment. He finally became responsive and spent more days in a hospital closer to home. It is truly a medical miracle that he even walked out of the hospital to face the cancer treatment that was put on hold. Finally, well enough to move forward (but by no means well), on December 6th, the big guy began 35 radiation treatments and chemo treatments while also battling back from his hospital stay and the other mind-boggling events that transpired. Several things have taken a toll on his health in the last few months. He has finished his radiation and chemo and is dealing with the disabling side effects. Still...there are numerous tests, surgeries, medications, medical supplies, dentists, doctors, specialists and hospital co-pays ahead. Some of these necessary things cannot transpire until they have money in advance. Larry and Carol are taking life one moment at a time. This journey continues for them both. Please help if you can.
