Larry Keith Erwin , 53, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away on July 19, 2024 in a tragic rafting accident in remote area of Western Alaska.
Larry grew up in Cabot, Arkansas, before moving to Texas where he began a lifelong career at Dr. Pepper. Larry was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend and had a strong Faith.
Larry lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. In his spare time, he poured into the lives of many scouts from Troop 421 . Always teaching, encouraging and learning as they went. His
adventurous spirit led him to explore new places and experiences, always seeking to make the most of every moment. He always wanted to go to Alaska.
He will be missed greatly.
His devoted wife of 27 years and 19 year old son who is starting his second year of college are left in a difficult financial situation due to the long wait for a Certificate of Death from the State of Alaska. Prior to the accident; Larry's wife has several debilitating health conditions which has not allowed her to continue her career as a Science Teacher. Stress makes these conditions worse.
Along with mourning the loss of a husband and father; we don't want the family to suffer the additional financial and emotional stress of paying the mortgage, health insurance, paying utilities, groceries and other normal everyday costs.
