Help Larry Sanderson Battle Lymphoma
Donation protected
Dear Family & Friends,
As some of you may know, my dad, Larry Sanderson, was diagnosed with lymphoma this January. My dad has always been in great health and takes great care of his body. He has only ever been in the hospital as a youth for his tonsils, so for this disease to appear now was a complete shock. Naturally, my family has been completely thrown into the unknown. The unexpected has happened. And it has changed everything.
The lymphoma is called “Diffuse Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma” and requires aggressive chemotherapy treatments - including week long inpatient hospitalization. The good news is that is only in one primary area, but the bad news is that it is in his brain. He begins his chemotherapy journey next week on February 11th in Billings, MT at the Billings Clinic. He will go through 6 weeks of aggressive chemotherapy and tests. My mom and I will be traveling and staying in Billings with him during this journey and will always be by his side as he fights this. My dad has his brother, Tommy, in California and my brother Jeff with his kids Michael, Danny and Cassidy, in Michigan rooting him on.
My parents are the most kind and humble people I know, always giving. They have never asked … nor will they ever ask … for help, even though they now need it. Sometimes, though, we have to stand in the gap. So, on behalf of all of my parent’s family, friends and all who have asked how they can help, I’m asking. This is going to be a very tough battle for my mom and dad. Physically, emotionally and financially. He is now not able to work for at least the next 6-8 months while he fights this, times will be tough. Tremendous love and support are needed. So true to the small town Sheridan community we truly are, there have been many calls, emails, texts, prayers and messages of love and support. Many have asked how they can help and, for those in a position to do so, a donation is a tangible way to help them in their journey ahead. Every donation, in any amount, helps and is so very much appreciated. We are grateful for whatever help you can give – donation or otherwise. Most importantly, please keep the prayers coming - Larry is so strong in his faith and has found great comfort in all the prayers, love and support he has already received…thank you!
The unexpected does happen. Amazingly, in the midst of the toughest battles come the most extraordinary – and unexpected - displays of faith, strength, perseverance, support and love. And, that changes everything. Please feel free to share this post to your Facebook page in an effort to get the word out. Let’s support Larry and let him focus on getting better. Thanking you all so much in advance!! He is ready for this fight! #STANDSTRONGWITHLARRY
