Help lay Susan Khatiwada to rest
Donation protected
On Sunday 13th March 2022, our dear friend Susan Khatiwada passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart attack. He was only 39, and his passing leaves a painful void for his surviving wife, Dilu, and their three young children (aged 7, 2 and 1), and his family in which he was the only son.
Susan was a proud father, a diligent husband, and a hardworking and honest worker who devoted his efforts to making a better life for his family. Together with his wife, Susan two different jobs to provide for their young family - and blessed all who met him with his warmth, integrity and honesty.
With his passing, his wife and family desire to bring his body home to Dharan, Nepal, where the rest of his family resides, and where they can lay him to rest with their desired funeral rites and traditions.
As a family working and living in Melbourne, the cost of bringing Susan's body back to Nepal, airfares for Dilu and her three children, and the loss of income from Susan's absence are more than the family can afford.
While nothing can fill the void left by Susan, with your help, we can ensure that he receives a dignified final journey home, and that the family he worked so hard for are well looked-after.
All funds raised will go directly to Susan's family, and will make a huge difference in providing:
Transportation costs to bear Susan's body to Nepal
Travel costs for Susan's wife and children
A financial buffer against hardship
Thank you all for your generosity and kindness.
RIP Susan Khatiwada
