Help Latina Attend Veterinary School in Sydney

Hello, my name is Lineth Trujillo Morales and I am a first-generation Hispanic/Latina college student who recently was offered admission into the University of Sydney's Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Program. The compassion and resilience I have developed, with the help of my community, have allowed me to follow my dream of becoming a Wildlife Veterinarian up to this point.

I plan to make a positive impact on animals, the environment, and people through research, clinical practice, and advocacy, which will fulfill my passion to preserve the natural world. University of Sydney is my ideal place of study, due to the opportunity to work with unique wildlife and nature. However, data from 2022 collected by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) concluded that only 0.5% of Veterinarians are Hispanic/Latinx (BLS ). With such little representation, international student scholarships and guidance within the field of Veterinary medicine, I am asking for your help in paying the initial $4,000 cost needed to be able to accept my admission to the University of Sydney. This money will help me secure a place to live in Sydney, pay my overseas medical insurance and help my initial tuition and school supplies costs. Classes quickly commence in February of 2024 and my financial aid will not be available until then, causing me to struggle to make these initial payments.

Your contribution today will not only support my education in becoming a part of the 0.5% of Hispanic/Latinx Veterinarians, but will also aid my goals of assisting impacted endangered species by funding the start of my career. Anything is absolutely helpful!

Hola, mi nombre es Lineth Trujillo Morales. Soy una estudiante universitaria Hispana/Latina de primera generación. Fui aceptada al Programa de Doctorado de Medicina Veterinaria en la Universidad de Sydney.
