Help Latrice Overcome Unexpected Utility Bill

Hello,

My name is Latrice, and I am a 41-year-old single mother to my wonderful 11-year-old daughter. I am reaching out to you because I am facing an unexpected and overwhelming hardship that I cannot overcome without your help.

In February, I discovered an unexpected underground water leak caused by erosion. This leak went unnoticed for some time, and I only found out about it because I had not received a bill for a significant period. When I contacted the utility company, they informed me of the leak and issued a bill for $3,800. Despite my efforts to explain the situation, the utility company only provided a partial credit, leaving me with a substantial amount to pay to restore services.

As a single mother, I receive some public assistance, but I have been unable to get any help from other agencies regarding this bill. I have tried everything I can think of, but the resources available to me are limited.

Despite these challenges, I have not given up on my dreams. I just graduated in May from Virginia Union University with a Master's in Criminal Justice and Public Policy and Procedure. I am currently working two jobs to make ends meet while also studying for my LSAT to apply to law school in the fall. My aspiration is to become a criminal attorney and advocate for justice.

This unexpected financial burden is making it incredibly difficult for me to focus on my studies and provide for my daughter. The stress of this situation is overwhelming, and I am humbly asking for your support to help me pay this bill and get back on track.
