Help Launch a Career with Multiple Impacts

Hello everyone. A good friend suggested that I establish a fundraiser and here’s why — I am pursuing a new career venture that will, in the long run, make a difference in the world. The encouragement and guidance of special individuals in the entertainment industry, over the last three years, has led me to the point of becoming incredibly vulnerable and requesting help which is out of my comfort zone.

I’m trying to build a new, purposeful life after two tumultuous decades of substantial cumulative familial loss, complicated grief, and untreated trauma from childhood along with professional work as an EMT, feeling incapable of helping my younger sister with profound autism due to limited resources, and thankfully remaining sober and of service to my peers through it all since August 5, 2009. Although I am grateful to be reasonably happy and healthy now, the PTSD diagnosis is the predominant reason I need a work from home position.

I am seeking financial support to cover the startup costs to launch myself into VoiceOver; a career in book narration, commercials, medical narration, audiobooks, cartoons, anime, etc.. All I’ve been able to afford with all my other expenses is a microphone and headphones. Once I achieve my success in this industry, I’ll pay it forward to a non profit organization or some form of community outreach. Indicate a donor and I will even submit it in your name so you can receive the tax credit when the time arrives. The funding received through this platform is intended to cover economic barriers to entry such as the cost of building a basic studio, from the ground up, and purchasing all the mandatory equipment: computer, computer programs, audio interface, mic precompressor combo, speakers, microphone accessories, sound deadening products, several demos, etc.

It’ll also benefit the property owner who desperately needs my contributions to use their land. I’ve been an advocate the majority of my adult life, but this career will offer the financial freedom to pursue causes, hence the ability to have a large impact/reach, with a fervor that were once denied due to economic constraints.
