We are launching 'Build Campus', a permanent space where big dreamers building in AI can co-work and launch their startups. We have a lovely home donated by Stone and Chalk we want to renovate and nurture the next great Australian startup out of.

WHAT WE DO

Build Club's vision is to accelerate AI innovation forward into the world. To do this, we are building the best place in the world for anyone building in AI to be.

In March, we are launching the proof of concept of Australia's first AI start-up residency program for 10 of our top AI Engineers.

We are giving these builders a dedicated place to accelerate them to success. They will build together and get mentored by top VCs, ex-founders and operators.

By the end of the rotating residency, we will have 10 new Aussie AI startups in our ecosystem and trotting the Globe.

But there is so much more we can do, we want to open the space up to communities like Earlywork, Humans for Good and Gen Z community builders to run book clubs out of etc...

We want to give young people a place to gather in Sydney to build their dreams. We are calling this 'Open Campus'.

THE SPACE

It's looking a bit bland at the moment, but we want to make it a home away from home for big dreamers.

Here's what it looks like right now:

We put a mood board to let our community decide on the vibe and this is what they came up with, although, suggestions are always welcome!

Funding will be used for the fit out of this space and access passes for our residents!

OUR STORY

Build Club started because AI is bloody exciting and building alone is lonely. It began with Annie and a couple of friends, all passionate about AI and wanting to build something cool in it. We realised the journey is hard and didn't have a space to do it from.

And.. turns out there were a lot of others like us.

So we decided to scale it.

Build Club has been completely bootstrapped to date.

In 2023, we launched Australia's first AI Accelerator, ran Australia's largest Demo Day and hosted the SXSW Hackathon (summary here).

We now are Australia's biggest AI Builder community (600+, 3K+ members) and have our own space to call home and want you, the community to play a part in making it feel like home.
