Help Launch Grace Anne’s Video - Just a Ghost

Hi – I’m Grace Anne Cascio. I’m a singer and songwriter currently working on a trilogy of new songs for my first EP, while also getting ready to study Music & Entertainment Industry in college.

I’m just about ready to release the first song of the trio called Just a Ghost and I have an exciting opportunity to film a video for the song at a really cool historic Jazz Club in Philadelphia called The Ruba Club. It has been in business for over a hundred years and totally fits the mood and vibe of the song. And I’m here to try and get help in funding the cost of filming and producing the video.

So, this trilogy of songs is about letting go in many different ways, and it all started with Just a Ghost. I have worked with friends on music projects before – writing, recording, and producing songs but I really wanted to do something from start to finish on my own…not only to show potential colleges what I could do, but to see how far I could push myself creatively. I love the entire process of making music and I love sharing it with people.

Just a Ghost, as well as the other two songs in the trilogy all have a very retro feel to them. They have a sort of 1940s & 50s feel. I tried to capture that in the tone of the instruments and the vocals during the production of the music. I think the Ruba works so well as a visual compliment to the song because it was established in the early 1900s and was even actually rumored to have been a speakeasy during prohibition. The main theater looks just like something out of an old cabaret performance from the 40’s. It’s perfect!

I write and record everything in our little home studio and hopefully, with the help of people like you, the song and video will be released this summer across all streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, TikTok and all the others.
