In I Am Well, award-winning audio journalist, herbalist and owner of The Land of Milk & Honey Apothecary™, Rachel J. Pilgrim, traverses the rich history of the Black spiritual and wellness practices from across the African diaspora on a mission to explore legacies and practices of healing and wellbeing.

I Am Well is a sound immersive liberating audio experience where being Black and well is revolutionary work. Some episode topics include, "Birthworkers: A Legacy of Doulas & Midwives," "Land Reclamation & Healing Gardens along the US Black Belt," and "The History and Impact of the Black Yogi." Rachel is prepared to interview both Candomblè and Curanderismo practitioners, take a trip to meet with a sangoma, and do a deep dive into the history of the "root cabinet."

I Am Well, an audio-first podcast project, will be the first show to launch under Rachel J. Pilgrim's media company, Heal & Hear the Community™ . She has built a team of Black women producers and journalists ready to create a safe and new representation of Blackness in the wellness space.

The team for I Am Well needs your help offsetting the cost of production for our first season. Production is set to begin this September. We must pay for recording and editing equipment, the team's time and services, music and sound design, travel and more.
