Help Laura and Sandy After Devastating Loss of Home

My dear friends Laura (DiVirgilio) and Sandy Owen lost their home in the Pacific Palisades Fire. They - and their dog Luna - are safe. However, they evacuated with only the clothes on their backs. They have no home, no address, no family photos, no belongings. And while ultimately, their safety is paramount, this kind of loss is heartbreaking and highly dislocating. Recovery will be extremely difficult.

Laura (a volunteer docent at the Getty who has given free tours to thousands of LAUSD school children) and Sandy (an extraordinary pianist and composer) are two of the kindest, most giving people I know, and I am privileged to be able to give back to them. I am fundraising to help them with necessary purchases and the needs of daily living. The land their home sat on was leased, so they are in greater need than some.
