Support A Senior Dream

Some students are fighters when it comes to achieving greatness. With a dream on the line, they stop at nothing, pushing themselves each day to that next goal, next pursuit, next challenge. These are the 1% of a teaching career, and when they appear, they bring with them the knowledge that our future is in great hands.

Mississippi High School Journalist of the Year Laura is a part of the 1%.

She has dedicated four years to her craft; she writes with the prowess of the next award-winning journalist of her generation. She plans to pursue journalism in college. What better way could we support her than allowing her to attend JEA convention?

The JEA (Journalism Education Association) convention is where she will take part in incredible sessions to become an even greater writer and artist and compete against other student journalists from across the country to take the title of High School Journalist of the Year on a national level!!! It will take place in Los Angeles, California, April 7th through the 9th, and the cost to take her there would be worth every penny. We will need expenses paid for the flight, hotel, and convention/competition costs.

She has repeatedly proven that excellence is not given but painstakingly earned; she deserves this chance to compete nationally.
