Update Dec 2024 - thanks to your love and generosity, we were able to give Laura "Zissy" Foy her final resting place. At a great personal risk, we also had to take out a home equity loan to help finance a good portion of Laura's funeral expenses, but every dollar and every penny from you, our wonderful contributors, had bought us time and relieved the stress of paying for the earliest expenses. However, Laura's medical bills are starting to come in so we do not yet know how many invoices will not be covered by her insurance.

A few of you wanted to know the final cost of the funeral and other expenses here in the state of California. In the spirit of full transparency, and to show where the proceeds went into, the final summary is as follows.

-Funeral Cost = $20,676.18 + $50.00 for additional headstone verbiage

-Flowers for the urn arrangement and spray = $420.00

-Donation towards church services = $300.00

Grand total = $21,446.18

The family and I are eternally grateful for your contributions no matter how big or small they were. If you would like to receive an itemized cost of the actual funeral service, I can provide that to you.

Hello friends and family. I am raising funds to assist our dearest family member, Laura "Zissy" Foy, with urgent funeral expenses. Unfortunately, the miracle we were hoping for did not come. These funds are needed to cover Laura’s burial. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated during this incredibly difficult time. As for me, my name is Glenn Catabas. I've known Laura for over half of my life. She means the world to me. Laura's zest for life, her unconditional love, and her kindness are what make her so precious. Laura has endured more than anyone should ever have to in her 62 years of age, but it has made her a strong, kind, and compassionate person.

She has only 1 child, Benjamin
A grandmother to 2 beautiful grandchildren
Sister to Patty, Billy, Michael, Denise
She loved her daddy, William Foy Sr, very much
She loves her cousins: Barbara w/ Charlie + Ash + Hilla, Robin, Tamara, and many more
She has 3 nephews and a great-niece
She is also my wife, Ann's, best friend, and Laura was her Maid of Honor
She goes by a few nicknames: Zissy, Sweetie Peetie, Tator, and Ladybug
Loves the perfume called "Sunflowers" as it was also my mom's favorite and they were very good friends
Her favorite animal is the elephant
She love's Disneyland and Hello Kitty
