Help Laura Hopkins Fight Brain Cancer
To all friends, family, and concerned parties,
On Wednesday afternoon, July 1st, my family was devastated when we received the news of my mother’s brain tumor. As you might imagine, the anguish we are feeling cannot be overstated. She is home now recuperating after the walnut-sized mass was removed from her left parietal lobe by the amazing neurology team at Abington Hospital (God bless them)! The surgery went according to plan with no serious complications and traces of the cancer are now minimal. However, the war is not won. Treatment by radiation and chemotherapy- or anything else that works- is the second prolonged battle we face. Therefore, we have come to this community of loved ones for support, both emotional and financial.
Laura Hopkins is a beloved mother of two, a wife, a grandmother, a friend, a caring member of society and much more. She is also the owner of Arnica & Ivy Day Spa, who for over 20 years has impacted her clients lives by providing services as a masseuse, esthetician, healer and even simply being someone who sits and listens. However, amidst the COVID-19 crisis, her business has suffered. And like many others, she has received no compensation from government relief programs. There is never an ideal time for a medical emergency, but these situations occurring simultaneously has greatly compounded our financial burden.
What I ask of you, as a son who loves his mom, as a member of this community, and as a friend in need, is that you stand with my mom now. Please support us in our time of need. Please pray for my mom and others like her and if possible, please donate. Even something small could make a big difference in her battle against brain cancer.
Thank you for your love, prayers & support. - The Hopkins Family
