I am a 60 year old woman living in an RV here in the San Fernando Valley.

I need your help!

My Section 8 HUD housing voucher is going to permanently expire on September 8, 2023

It has been the most frustrating thing to finally receive the voucher and not be able to afford the fees required to process my application to lease an apartment

I did find an apartment yesterday that will accept my housing voucher.

The Marquee Apartments in North Hollywood are willing to lease an affordable single to me with my voucher, but they need application fees and holding fee that adds up to $150.

I don't have income right now but I have been offered employment once I'm housed

This is one of the loopholes in the Section 8 housing voucher that makes it extremely difficult to find housing.

40% of all vouchers issued go unused or expire. HUD will pay for the security move in deposits only.

I'm terrified of my voucher expiring in 33 days, but I'm not letting fear stop me. That's why I created this Gofundme.

I need your help

I've been living in this old RV for 14 months. No bathroom, no running water or power. Just a shelter. I'm grateful I had it!

My cats and I have weathered the record breaking heat last summer as well as surviving the record breaking rainfall we had last winter

I'm running out of time

If you are able to donate any amount to my Gofundme campaign it would guarantee my permanent housing by the end of the month.

I will be one less RV parked on the streets of Los Angeles and I will be housed as all human beings should be.

If the funds go over the amount I need, I'm going to buy a bed.
