Help Laurel Battle against Ovarian Cancer

This fundraiser was to help Laurel get the medical attention she needed to help Beat ovarian cancer. Laurel has unfortunately recently passed away. This money will be used by laurels husband Karl Simon and her family to pay for her funeral. The monies will be wired to the family via bank transfer. The money collected will be used to pay for laurels funeral. 

Hi, My Name is Shana Joseph. I am raising funds for a lovely and caring high school friend, Laurel Marcellin - Simon. Laurel who we affectionately call Lau Lau is only 41 years but has been struggling with cancer for the last few years. In 2019 she had a severe form of gastric which was treated then came back presenting as an ovarian tumor in 2021 after baby who is 9 months. 

About 9 months ago, her cancer came back in full swing once she had her baby. Currently, she is in the hospital, nursing water in her lungs and extreme pain from her ovarian cancer. Currently Laurel  is suffering withfluid in the abdomen and chest . She is in severe pain unable to go the bathroom or even pass gas, laurel has not been able to eat for several weeks as whenever she eats something she vomits it right back up. 

 To deal with the pain, she has to be on morphine drips. However, she has found a great hospital in NYC that could help her with her ovarian cancer.

Laurel has gotten into a great hospital in NYC but needs help to pay for the medical. The medical cost will be over $40,000 and she does not have the means to pay it right now. Laurel is married and has 3 beautiful children, She has so much to live for and with your help she will be able to raise her babies.

With your help, my friend lau lau will be able to live a normal life! A CANCER - FREE life! She will have the opportunity to raise her beautiful one-year-old baby girl and her young 10 year old son and provide love and guidance for her older daughter.

Please help my friend and class mate in any way you can. With your help in she will get the treatment she needs to beat this horrible disease.
