Help Laurel with her breast cancer diagnosis

Hello, my name is Angela Lambert.

I am raising money to help my friend Laurel Thoma.

In May of 2022, she was diagnosed with stage 2 Invasive ductile circoma, DCIS, LCIS in her left breast.

Since then she has undergone 5 surgeries, including a single mastectomy.

Her doctors have now discovered LCIS on her right side and are figuring out a treatment plan.

The funds raised will go toward medical and other expenses, related to her condition.

Prescriptions, further testing costs. as well as lost wages due to appointments.

Laurel has long been active as a supporter of the performing arts community in the Denver metro area.

She continues to have a positive attitude, despite her circumstances.

Update from Laurel

Hello, I would like to thank all of you have shared and donated to my page. This has been extremely helpful in my recovery from my surgeries and recent diagnosis and will help with future expenses. I wanted to update everyone with the new findings. My team of doctors and surgeons have come up with my plan for treatment. This includes MRIs and annual exams yearly for the next 4 years including continuing my medication. I currently have been having issues with my insurance on not wanting to cover my MRIs from my original diagnosis in 2022 and after my last surgery in December 2023. I have put in appeals and have had them turned down and I was put in as high risk from my doctor to have them done. This will be the biggest cost to me at $1,600 each year. This is now in addition to my current medical bills from my surgeries and appointments. My medication was being covered but now im having to pay $50 every 3 months for refills.
