Help Lauren and Christian's family focus on Evelyn's care

5/23/24 - Evelyn had some OT and PT yesterday. She was able to stand and take a step and she was also able to feed herself some lunch. She was moved from PICU to a regular room late last night, and she's starting to get her spunk back. Today she told her mom she is ready to go home! She's the bravest little girl I know, and we're all cheering so hard for her.

5/22/24 - Hi, I'm Jeanine Glase, and I'm fundraising for Lauren Meder, Christian Veitel, and their family. Lauren is my best friend of 34 years, and Lauren and Christian recently received news about Evelyn's health that no parent wants to hear.

On May 17, Evelyn was scheduled to have an MRI because of recurring headaches. During the MRI, doctors found a tumor in Evelyn's cerebellum. The following Monday, three days later, Evelyn had surgery to remove the tumor. Evelyn is recovering in the hospital and expected to have a two week stay. She will be out of ICU today. We are all anxiously awaiting the pathology results and praying for the best.

I, along with her family and friends, want to support them in this process so they can research the best treatment options for Evelyn and get her the best care. This will take them away from work, so to allow them to focus on Evelyn's needs, I created this fundraiser. We want the family to be able to spend as much time together as possible and not need to worry about the financial burden of her treatment and care.
