Help Lauren Fight Stage 4 Colon Cancer
Donation protected
My heart is truly breaking for Lauren and the fight she is up against. I do not want her to have to worry about finances while she is trying to fight. Please do what you can to help.
Words From Lauren
On April 30th, I had a surgery that removed an orange size tumor in my small intestine and lymph nodes the size of cherry tomatoes…They have determined after pathology, that I have Stage 4 Metastatic Adenocarcinoma (colon cancer). It’s the highest stage of colon cancer there is..it’s aggressive..It’s bad. Life threatening and scary as hell. I was optimistic the first go around I had with cancer but this time is much more serious. It requires going to Mayo Clinic and UF Health for surgeries, treatments, and studies. I’ll have another massive surgery where a surgeon goes in and meticulously zaps cancer cells and inject chemo during surgery… then depending on how well that goes, there will be atleast 6 months of chemo after.
I’m not ready for this. I’m not taking it well. I’m tired and broken. I was past the 3 year “cancer free” mark, which means I was officially in remission. I was suppose to stay “cancer free”.. this wasn’t suppose to happen. I wasn’t suppose to have cancer again. I was suppose to live to see Savannah grow up and get married and have babies…
Our summer plans are now officially ruined but still blessed to have a summer because googling life expectancies of stage 4 metastatic colon cancer are nothing I want to see or accept. Please send as many positive vibes my way…. I’m not ok. I just want to see Savannah grow up and not have to live without me. I wanna see her graduate. I want to see her get married. I want to see her babies. She needs me. I need her. I am not ok. .
