Help Lauren Fight Ulcerative Colitis

Some people may not know that my beautiful sister, Lauren Stanley, has been silently battling a debilitating disease called Ulcerative Colitis, for 26 of her 34 years on this Earth.

She has been in and out of hospitals since we were kids, and has had several periods of remission that never seemed to last long enough. It has affected her jobs, her relationships, and hindered her long-term goals. It has diminished her quality of life and impacted her mental and physical health for so long. 

After many years of medication, lifestyle changes and numerous holistic treatments, this terrible disease has finally forced Lauren to make the difficult decision to have surgery to remove her colon. She has been in the hospital for the past week, with no signs of improvement from the medication she is on.

The 3-part surgery will take a total of about 6 months to recover from. We are hoping to raise some funds to cover the surgeries, hospital bills, and other therapies she will need on her road to healing. Anything helps. 

We are ready to fight this together and finally give Lauren a chance to live her life to the fullest, and not let UC bring her down anymore.
