My name is Lauren and I could use some help. For the past few months I've been struggling with my mental health - PTSD is a terrible monster. I had a bit of a setback this past week - a heartless psychiatrist retriggered my trauma and has me pretty screwed up at the moment. He's been removed from my care team, but the damage is done. I could greatly benefit from a reset so I can get myself (my brain?) back to a place where I can get the help that I so desperately need.

I haven't been able to work for months and my savings is gone. Nothing seems to be going right for me. But, I would love to go stay with my best friend for a week. It's a completely different environment, I'm safe there, her family welcomes me, and I could really use the refresh of being there. It's far away from the nightmares I fear here each day, and when I'm there I can remember how to breathe.

As embarrassing as it is to ask for help, I'm asking for your help...

My friend lives in Slovenia , a small country that borders Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Croatia.

Flights aren't cheap, especially when you've had no income for months. Please, if you can, help me get there for a week. I need around $1,400 for the flights, and would love some extra cash to help buy gas and groceries while I'm there. My dream goal is to raise $2,000, which would completely cover my expenses.
