Help Lauren Recover from ACL Surgery

In April 2024, Lauren made her return to roller derby after 4 years away. Unfortunately, only a few minutes into the game, a hard hit injured her knee and took her out of the rest of the game. Upon returning to Tallahassee, an MRI revealed a completely torn ACL in her left knee. The doctor recommended a couple months of physical therapy, but the recheck showed it wasn’t enough and that surgery would be necessary. Lauren’s surgery is scheduled for 9/3 and the co-pay for the surgeon is more than $1,800. That does not include the co-pay for the facility, anesthesiologist or the post-op physical therapy. We have not been given the numbers for those co-pays yet. On top of the medical costs, Lauren will be out of work for two weeks. Traveling to Kentucky multiple times at the beginning of the year for family resulted in most of her PTO being used up, so she is in need of a little help to cover bills, groceries, and boarding Possum during those two weeks. Anything you can give will help lessen the burden.
