Help Lauren Beat Brain Cancer
Lauren (Wysocki) Mayse,  Ridgeland SC
As many of you know my name is Dick Herberth and I’m creating this Go Fund Me account for the benefit of my lifetime friend Rick Wysocki’s daughter Lauren (Wysocki) Mayse.

Lauren and her husband Jerred have three children Paisleigh 5, Piersyn 2 and Aviannah 7 months. Lauren is maintaining a very upbeat positive attitude even though she recently found out she has multiple cancerous tumors on her brain. After two earlier serious cases of Melanoma, she now must deal with the cancer– again. This time on her brain. We are all praying this will be the LAST.  Through God’s healing hands along with medical and holistic treatments, she’s very hopeful she’ll beat this.  The upcoming Immunotherapy treatment and holistic treatments are very expensive adding to a huge backlog of bills from the prior cancer diagnosis and treatments and the premature delivery of their youngest daughter Aviannah. Please pray for Laurens’s healing and if you would like to help with their treatment expenses, please consider contributing to this GoFundMe page.

Looking back to when this all began….

Lauren has had to deal with Type I diabetes nearly all her life, so she’s familiar with medical challenges. After Lauren’s second daughter Piersyn was born in 2018, Lauren noticed a spot on her leg that was diagnosed as cancerous. The cancer was removed and testing indicated that the melanoma ‘had not spread’.  Over the next two years, Lauren became increasingly aware of a bulge in her groin area. The bulge wasn’t bothersome and she thought it may simply be a muscle strain.   Pregnant with their third child, Lauren asked doctors about the bulge during a pre-natal visit. Testing found it to be melanoma. It had spread to her lymph nodes.  In order to proceed into treating the cancer ASAP, Lauren scheduled early delivery of the baby. Little Aviannah was born 6 weeks early. But with premature birth issues, Aviannah remained in intensive care for several weeks. Lauren traveled back and forth to care for the baby and to see her doctors for treatment of the melanoma in her lymph nodes.  The cancerous nodes were removed and follow up testing showed the melanoma was isolated to the lymph nodes that they removed.  Lauren was cancer free for the second time!

In early March 2021, Lauren started feeling numbness on her right side and primarily her right arm.  She assumed it was a pinched nerve.  On Friday, March 26th, Lauren was driving the kids to gymnastics when she had a seizure in her right arm and found she was not able to speak.  She managed to pull over and call 911 & Jerred.  Doctors found a cancerous tumor on the left front of Laurens brain.  Subsequently they found several smaller tumors.  She is now proceeding with an Immunotherapy treatment program recommended by her medical team and is also integrating some Holistic cancer treatment approaches.

Lauren is VERY appreciative of all the prayers that family and friends have raised up to our God in heaven.  She is confident that God is hearing and will answer these prayers. Lauren asks only for continued prayers. Skin cancer, complications of a premature birth, NICU baby care, Lymph node removal and treatment, and now testing, medication and treatment for her brain tumors have had a huge impact on their financial situation. So much so Lauren and Jerred recently downsized their home to try and pay off debt they had.

After hearing about the costs incurred over the several previous medical issues and what’s likely to occur in the coming months, I suggested to Lauren’s father Rick that we create this Go Fund Me account to help the family tackle their financial burden.  Lauren needs to minimize stress in order to rest and focus on her family and most important - getting well.  Lauren and Jerred know that God in heaven through Jesus Christ will be faithful and answer prayers for healing.  But we are opening this page for whoever feels moved to help them reduce the mountain of debt they’ve accumulated.  We can’t express enough how this will be a huge stress reliever and will allow them to do all the right things to treat and beat the cancer.  Lauren and Jerred need to get back to business raising their three beautiful daughters.

Please keep Lauren in your prayers and ask for full and complete healing.   Thank you!
