Help lay Adam Fraum to rest
Don protégé
On December 24, 2020 Adam was admitted to Coral Springs Medical Center with COVID-19 pneumonia. Two weeks later Adam was placed on a ventilator due to respiratory failure. He was transferred to Broward Health Medical Center on January 9, 2021 for a higher level of care and that is where he stayed for the following three months fighting for his life. After being in a drug induced coma for just over two months Adam opened his eyes, was able to recognize family and friends, communicate by way of us lip reading, and was on the long road to recovery according to the doctors. In the weeks following Adam required a total of three chest tubes because his lungs were collapsing due to the damage that COVID-19 caused.
April 14, 2021 the family was called for an emergency phone conference with the doctors, Adam's respiratory status was taking a turn for the worst. His fiancé, Katie was able to get to the hospital that afternoon to speak with Adam and he told her "I'm going to fight this, I'm coming home to Christopher and to you!". Three hours later the family received phone calls urging them to get to the hospital because Adam was rapidly declining. Surrounded by his mother, father, two brothers, and fiancé, Adam lost his battle and God took him home at only 34 years old. After 111 days in the hospital, countless close calls, proving doctors wrong and being their "miracle", he is no longer suffering. He is survived by his son Christopher, mother Terrie, stepdad Tom, father Robert, stepmom Joan, brothers Scott and Evan, sister-in-law Kedrin, niece Nikki, nephew Mitchell, great nephew Maverick, fiancé Katie, and countless others including friends, family members, students, and co-workers who all loved Adam.
Please consider donating to this fundraiser as Adam's untimely passing and unexpected funeral expenses have created a financial hardship for the family. All donations are appreciated and any funds in excess of the funeral costs will be placed in a trust for his 4-year old son Christopher.
Your love and support is greatly appreciated. #FraumStrong
