I've attempted to write this 3 times now. It seems no matter what words that I choose, no matter what order I put them in, the right ones just wont come out. If you knew my dad, then you likley will remeber these 5 things.
Number 1- "jabone" , his favorite word for when he didnt want to jinx something!
Number 2- His ear-to-ear smile as he laughed so hard that his eyes would close. Number 3- A die hard Ohio state buckeye fanatic.
Number 4- Always willing to help anyone in need.
Number 5- certainly not least, he loved his family. He loved them so much. He would brag about every little achievement or accomplishment like we were the greatest things to walk the earth. My dad has literally helped everyone he knew personally in some way or another. Always laughing. Always smiling. Always happy. So genuine. So thoughtful. I will miss and cherish every flea market gift he's ever given me. One of the toughest things a person will ever face in life is watching their dad, the man they considered superman, deteriorate with age as we all do. Even at 61 years old, Dad was still strong, bad back and all. He worked 6 days a week, most summer days until dark. He always did his best to make time for his family. The fact that his two granddaughters will be too young to remember him, breaks my heart. Kins and Char Char LOVED their PAWPAW dearly. He loved them so much as well. His trademark word "jabone" will forever live in our hearts. Though he may be gone, he will never be forgotten. The countless memories made during weekend fishing trips. Didn't matter if a single fish was caught, he was just happy to be on the water. Happy to be with his family. He loved the water so much, that he and my mother's "honeymoon" was spent on the Ohio river fishing. They shared 34 wonderful years together. He would always tell the story of how they met. My mom went to her aunts house one day when dad seen her outside, he had his brother toss a Frisbee over his head and into her yard so he could go talk to her, all without her knowing it was intentional. Unfortunately, dad didn't have health insurance, or final expenses insurance. It's extremely hard for us to ask for any type of help..However, we were not prepared for this unfortunately. Any little bit helps. We know fully that times are tough right now, everything is so expensive. If you do not have it to spare , please do not donate. We will figure it out someway or another.Thank you all so much for the kind words!
