With heavy hearts, we share the tragic and unexpected loss of Maurice Clayton Brown, age 58 – a wonderful man, a loving husband, and a devoted father to six beautiful children. He brought joy, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone who knew him. His kindness and warmth were constants, especially to his family.

Maurice had recently lost his job at TGI Fridays in Rockville Center, NY, which closed its doors suddenly, and the weight of that loss took a toll on him. He felt the pressure of providing for his family, and while he did his best to stay strong, the stress and sadness were heavy. Despite his struggles, he remained a beacon of love and strength for his wife and children.

On what seemed like a normal day, his wife, Tomeka Brown, returned home from the supermarket. She noticed that he wasn’t at the door to help with the groceries, as he always did. Her heart sank as she and their two youngest daughters, Amanda (9) and Amauria (7), found him in the bathroom, having suffered a massive heart attack. This unexpected tragedy has shattered our world, leaving his family heartbroken and unprepared.

Maurice was the kind of man who put his family first, always wanting to take care of them. But now, his family faces the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye and navigating life without him. We are asking for your support to lay Maurice to rest with the dignity and love he deserves.
