Funeral expenses for Rosanna Marino

my name is Tina Hill and I am asking for your help to lay my sister to rest.

On Wednesday September 4th , at 11:00am , my sister crossed into the afterlife. Her name is Rosanna Marino. She was born Rosanna Jeznach, but most of the people who knew her and all of the people who loved her called Rosy.

Rosy was my big sister and my favorite sister. She was always there for me growing up and after we grew up , she was there for me then ,as well.

How do I tell you how wonderful her laugh was and how her eyes would sparkle? How do I explain how happy she was in general? How do I describe how wonderful it was when she made us birthday cakes that were works of edible art? I can’t , you just had to have experienced her love.

She didn’t get the traditional grow up fall in love get married have children kind of life, things kinda happened in reverse. She had her daughter Amber, and then years later she met the man she married David Marino.

Rosy was smart. She was funny. She loved with her whole heart and showed it with her incredible cooking skills and her generosity. Children and animals just loved her. She was honest and she was hard-working. She planned ahead for retirement for traditional future most of us imagine when we get to our senior ages life through a monkey wrench in that. The home she bought for her husband and her daughter and her daughter’s twins had been misrepresented by the seller has being a safe place to live. It wasn’t it was filled with mold top to bottom . The previous owner painted over it carpeted over it and what couldn’t be hidden was wiped away, but not killed and it grew back with a vengeance. To make a very long and very sad story short that mold, infested house set in motion a chain of events that exhausted her retirement funds and ultimately led to my sister‘s death at the untimely age of 68.

Mold is a killer. It is a ruiner of health, a ruiner of property and a destroyer of memories and families .

Since 2010, my sister and her family have lived a life of the nightmares of homelessness, victimization by scammers misrepresenting themselves as landlords, by predatory slumlords, and charlatans. As of 9/6/24 her daughter and family are facing homelessness yet again.

Because of her health situations caused by the mold, she had Been diagnosed with asthma with COPD with heart disease with kidney disease and had to have pacemakers, defibrillators, and dialysis ports installed. Because she works so hard all the time that she worked anywhere she worked, she pushed her body, her tiny body beyond its limits and injured it, and so she was dealing with osteoarthritis, rotator cuff problems, back issues and may be a few things I didn’t even know about.

And yet she still laughed and smiled and managed to love all of us to make up for the spot that was empty in our lives after our parents died. So Rosy became the matriarch, because our oldest sister never wanted much to do with being part of the family. So after our parents passed, she removed herself from the equation and from our lives. I will not speak further of our absent sister.

I’m asking you to help us pay for her funeral and cremation and for a little extra to help her daughter Amber and Amber‘s little family to find a safe affordable mold free home to live in. One that they’ve been looking for for 15 years, but never found because of, homelessness, joblessness, living in and out of hotels motels ,some nice,some not so nice,living in shelters and being preyed upon and victimized because of the urgency of their situation and the desperation in it.

She is survived by her Daughter Amber Jeznach(Tyler Carter), and her great grandchildren Noelle Jeznach and Justin Jeznach , and me.
