Help lay Sekani to rest

Hi I am a friend of the Barker family and am calling out to our greater community for support.

On Saturday the 9th of October this family went through a traumatic and life changing accident. The family and their two children were involved in a head on collision claiming the life of their 8 month gestational baby. The loss of a child for most of us is inconceivable let alone being so close to giving birth, this has taken a great toll on the family and our entire community.

Sekani was born at 0430 on Sunday morning weighing in at 2369 grams with a curly head of dark hair, the cutest little nose and ten perfect little fingers and ten perfect little toes. Prior to his birth the family was notified of his death. Sekani means Joy and this baby boy was a celebrated joy in the lives of this family. As we mourn for the loss of Sekani we reflect on the type of person he was going to grow up to be and can't help but feel the world has suffered a great loss as this angel was destined for greatness.
