From Gaza... This is My Story
I am Layan, 17 years old, and I live in Gaza. We had a small home where we lived in peace until the war came and turned our lives into a nightmare. We were living in safety, but the war left us with no choice but to leave. We left everything behind and began the journey of displacement.
My family and I fled to the Mawasi of Khan Younis. We found nothing but the sand as our shelter, and we built a very simple tent, just pieces of cloth to cover us. We faced hot summers and cold winters, and with each passing day, life became harder, but we clung to whatever hope we had left.

The War Returns... The Struggle Continues
The war returned once again, and here we are, struggling to survive. In this unforgiving place, we started looking for simple ways to keep going. We began selling some of the things we had just to buy food and water.
Despite the difficult circumstances, I always tried to stay strong for my family. I helped my mom and dad with everything, and I smiled even though the pain was overwhelming. I can't describe to you how harsh life is here, but we will never stop fighting, no matter what obstacles we face.
In Every Moment, My Parents Were My Strength
My dad is 63 years old, and my mom is 60. They still work hard and fight for us, and even though they are exhausted, they never stop taking care of me and my siblings. But they are only human, and our needs grow with time, while the resources are very limited.
