Help Layan’s Family Survive in Gaza

Hello, my name is Mariana Vamplew and I'm raising funds on behalf of Layan to evacuate her family out of Gaza to safety.

She is currently in Abu Dhabi with her mother Aziza after having been medically evacuated by Gaza Kinder Relief due to the loss of both her legs in an Israeli airstrike.

Aziza has four other children she was forced to leave behind in Gaza, with their father left to care for them. As of this writing, they are all alive.

As many of us now know, there is NO safe place in Gaza. Aziza's husband and four other children remain in great risk daily of death, starvation, injury and disease. The people of Palestine deserve to live in their homes in safety, peace and freedom. However that is simply impossible for the foreseeable future.

In Layan's own words: "I am Layan Nasr, I am 13 years old from the Gaza Strip. I will tell you my story. I am a child like the rest of the children in the world. I have dreams and I love to have fun, play and draw. But since the war on Gaza began, everything has changed. Our dreams were lost and we were deprived of our most basic rights. Our most important dreams became obtaining food, water and firewood to cook with. My mother, we have food that was barely available from time to time. No, when night comes, they say the night is peaceful and quiet, but for us it was a nightmare. We do not want it to come. We want it to end quickly. Due to the intensity of fear and bombing, we feel that we will die at any moment. One day, I was going to bring water for my mother to wash our clothes. While I was walking, very suddenly there was a sound of an explosion next to me."
