Help Layla Isaacs with her College Tuition
Donation protected
This is Layla Isaacs. She graduated as the Valedictorian of North Eleuthera High School. As the only graduate of the Bahamas Honor Society, she was on the Principal’s List, and was also the Deputy Head Girl. Layla received numerous subject awards in Biology, Mathematics, Civics, English Language, Combined Sciences, Religious Studies, Family Life, as well as Food and Nutrition. She is also the President of her church’s youth group, member of the dance group, and is also on the praise team.
Layla will be attending Huston Tillotson University in Austin Texas and needs $12,500 more for tuition in order to begin her studies on August 16th. She will be majoring in Psychology because she has a passion to help the many people who fight against depression and mental illnesses. She believes that she can help people learn to cope with depression, overcome addictions, and help them improve the quality of their lives. There are many people that struggle with mental disorders and disabilities, and she feels that it is her calling to help assess and diagnose these conditions to help them become the very best versions of themselves.
Being a Jamaican, who grew up in the Bahamas, Layla was disadvantaged in the fact that all scholarships and opportunities in the Bahamas are only offered to Bohemians, no matter the qualifications. She is, however, very grateful for the life and education she has experienced in the Bahamas. Now she is looking to further her education so she can give back.
Layla would like to specially thank anyone in advance for anyone who chooses to assist her in chasing her dreams. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Let’s help this girl achieve her goal!
