Help Lea Walk Again: Support Her Surgery
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Bisma Nasir and I am a first-year medical student. I am reaching out for help because my sweet cat, Lea, recently suffered an acetabular fracture—a painful and debilitating injury that is affecting her ability to eat, walk, and use the litter box. Lea is just about a year old. She’s the most gentle, loving companion I could ask for.
The vet hospital has recommended a femoral head osteotomy (FHO) to relieve her pain and restore her mobility. The surgery is estimated to cost $7,000 to $8,000. As a student, this expense is simply beyond my means at this stage in my life. At this point so far, I have spent $1,200 on exams, X-rays, and pain management for her, but I am unable to cover the cost of this surgery.
Lea has been such a source of comfort and joy, and I want to give her the best chance to heal and thrive. Any support—whether it’s a donation, sharing this page, or even suggestions for resources or organizations that might be able to help—would be much appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. I’ll be sharing updates about Lea’s journey here and keeping everyone posted on her progress. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
With gratitude,
Bisma & Lea
