Help Leah volunteer in Ghana
Donation protected
Hi there, my name is Leah and I‘m hoping to travel to Ghana with my school in July 2023. I attend Penrice Academy and I’m currently in year 10.
My school is partnering with a company called African Adventures to send around 20 pupils to Woe in Ghana. We will be over there for 10 nights and the days we’re over there will involve building and renovating schools and teaching children.
African adventures have been running for 10 years and started when the founder volunteered in Africa and realised families were all in the dumping ground, finding plastic recyclables to sell so that they could feed themselves and their children. Most children aged 8 and over leave school to go and earn money for their families. Volunteering in Ghana will be a great opportunity for me to help so many families feed their children 2 meals a day and learn Maths, English, Science etc for no cost. In England it’s so easy to take for granted our free schools and not think about the poorer countries suffering.
To be allowed to volunteer I need to raise £2400 to pay for my travel and accommodation. I would really love to exceed my target to buy stationery and sanitary pads for the children who don’t have these luxuries.
I have always enjoyed working with people and helping out. With your help I could make a huge difference and would appreciate any donations.
Thanks for taking the time to read this
