Help Lee Fight his Battle in Treatment

Donation protected
My dad is a hero...  married for 43 years, father of 3,  grandfather of 8, and he has a foster daughter to care for.  Anytime one of us needed help around one of our homes with building, fixing, or if we had a simple question,  my dad was there!  He has taught us all to work hard for what you have, to be thankful no matter what, and to help others in need.  He is the kind of guy who gives the last $20 he has to someone else rather than buy groceries.  I know this, mom was not happy.  But he believes that faith is the most important thing and that God always has a plan, no matter how bad things may seem.  Asking others for help has never been a strong point for him, and in return, it is also not easy for me or my siblings.  But now I am going to...

On Thanksgiving my dad started having some stomach pains.  He wasn't too worried about it at first but the pain increasingly got worse so he went into urgent care where he was given some tums and sent home.  About a week later he was back at the doctor with worse pain and sent over to get a CT scan.  The news of the scan was beyond devastating...  A few more tests were performed and we have come to find out that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  This is one of the most aggressive and fast acting cancers known.  It is also one of the hardest cancers to cure.

We are all doing research and trying to figure out what the best treatment would be for my dad.  One option would take a few months to complete and it is in a different state.  They would draw his blood and come up with a concoction of medicines that are specific to his blood and the cancer.  The drug therapy that they put together is then injected directly into the tumor and this is repeated every few weeks.  He may also stay a little closer and see if surgery to remove the tumor is at all possible.  So far he has been told it is not, but this is why second opinions are extremely important.

My dad needs all of our love, prayers, and support to help fight this dreadful sickness.  He has already made huge dietary changes and he is taking lots of herbs, and pain killers because this thing is very painful.  I can see it in his eyes...  My heart is broken.  Whatever treatment he chooses to do, they are all very costly.  Other funding options are also being looked into.  Even though he is still in the decision phase of what route he chooses to take, he has begun doing holistic healing therapies such as; acupuncture, reflexology, detox treatments, and is currently doing a 2 day juice cleanse.  His fight just started and he has the will to get better. His positive outlook is a huge part in the recovery process, even though it is far from easy.

That being said we could really use some monetary help.  On top of potentially being away for 3 months for treatment, there are still bills at home and animals to care for.  Whatever you can contribute we will be forever grateful.  Thank you so much for the love, prayers, and donations if at all possible.  Like I said, my dad is a hero.  Maybe this is happening so one day he can share his story with someone else who is going through the same thing and give them hope.  We all want him to look back at this moment 20+ years from now and say, "I won".
