Help Lee Survive A Very Rare Cancer

Lee Fuller, our dear friend, was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare lymphoma, mantle cell, with a prognosis that is chilling at best. Lee is literally in a fight for his life.

Lee, like many of us lives life with passion, love for his family, humility and compassion for others. Lee is without a doubt the most positive person I have ever had the privledge to know. Lee's smile and positive energy is literally infectious. Now, Lee is focused on as much positive energy as he can possibly muster to combat the side effects of his grueling Chemo treatment's.

Lee comes from a mid-sized family most of whom are located in Michigan, his mother, Paula Fuller who is still very active in her community serving on the city council there. Lee's father Dick Fuller has passed but was a loved member of his town, Houghton Lake along with his 3 brother's. Lee married Angelica Garcia 4 years ago and the two have been inseparable. Between them, they have 3 wonderful children, Matt, Nestar and Nancy. They enjoy hard work, many outdoor activities, cooking and spending quality time with friends. Angelica has now found herself in the position of caretaker.

You may know Lee better as the CEO of Vaca Valley Auto-Care. He has helped hundreds over the years with their automotive needs, all with honesty, integrity and sense of community. Lee has participated in countless community event's, such as Chamber of Commerce, Northbay Healthcare Foundation and Solano Midnight Sun Foundation. 

Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), comprising about 6% of NHL cases. A very rare form of cancer that requires the most aggressive Oncology treatment available today. Lee has undergone 4 rounds of Chemo of which is comprised of 3 events that require a 3 day hospitalization. He has 2 more to do, which should conclude shortly after Christmas.

Despite 6 rounds of Chemo Therapy, that is not enough. Lee must undergo a bone marrow transplant. 

Here is the need: Lee will spend 2 months at Stanford Medical Center receiving a transplant of his bone marrow. This procedure will begin shortly after his final Chemo, likely the first week in February. Lee has medical insurance that will cover most (not all) of the treatment cost. However, it is impossible for Lee and Angelica to travel back and forth to Stanford everyday so housing and meals are the need. Lee will require a sterile room environment that can be provided by the Stanford house. He simply cannot risk infection. The basic cost for housing will be approximately $200.00 per day, or $ 12,000.00 for a 60 day period. Beyond that, Lee will require 6 months to 12 months of recovery time at home before he can get working again.  

Lee has been diligent with his financial life, he has home equity and a life insurance policy for the care of his family, however they have depleted their savings and simply do not have the resources to cover the aforementioned expense.
