Help Leha & her Family through the fight of their lives.

Hello everyone my name is Maria Field. Leha Marshall is one of my most dearest friends. If you ever crossed paths with this extraordinary soul you will understand why I could not let her family be disconnected as they go through the biggest fight of their lives!

Leha and her family have done so much for others. They have spent the past 5 plus years working tirelessly to raise money through their charity U Grow Girl to fund healing retreats for Women who have experienced Child Sexual Abuse whilst raising huge awareness along the way, amongst supporting other causes and making a positive impact in our community.

Leha carries a unique magic and has always seen the highest potential in people well before they can see it for themselves. She was the first friend I met when I moved to Canada 12 years ago and welcomed us with open arms when we faced some really difficult times. She has impacted and inspired many people over the years through her mentorship, gigantic heart and natural ability to raise others up.

Now its time to gather our community to do the same for her and her family at a time when they need it most.

On December 22, 2023, Leha received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL), a rare and aggressive cancer. Since then, she has faced this journey with incredible strength whilst still continuing her work raising money for others through their Charity U Grow Girl but now, her battle has brought her to the next challenging chapter..... a life-saving Autologous Stem Cell Transplant (Auto SCT) at the transplant centre in Vancouver.

Starting today January 23rd, Leha will begin an intense week of BEAM chemotherapy, which will be followed by the transplant itself. She will remain hospitalized in Vancouver for the next six weeks minimum as her body begins the critical process of rebuilding her immune system. Once discharged, Leha will require a caregiver by her side at all times to help her through the initial stages of recovery, which may take months.

Leha and her family live in Salmon Arm, BC, which is over 450 km from Vancouver. Her husband and two children—her rocks and support system—are trying to stay by her side throughout this journey. However, there is ZERO financial assistance available to help with the enormous costs of flights, meals, and accommodations required for her husband to be in Vancouver with her, both during her hospitalization and in the weeks following her discharge.

For anyone who knows this devoted Mother & Wife the emotional pain of been separated from her family as she endures this intense treatment is too much to bare on top of everything else. Add in the financial burden of this journey and it is overwhelming, with expenses mounting to thousands of dollars.

Despite the challenges, Leha remains hopeful, focused on healing, and grateful for the love and support of her family, friends, and community.

• Travel costs for Leha’s husband and Children to join her when possible in Vancouver during her treatment and recovery.

• Accommodation and meals to support the family while away from home.

• Caregiver-related expenses for Leha’s recovery once she is discharged.

• Additional costs associated with Leha’s long-term recovery, which may take up to two years.
