Help Leigh and Sean Rebuild after the Eaton Canyon Fire

Hello friends,

My name is Joanna Clark. I am a long-time friend of Leigh and Sean. I am initiating this Go Fund Me campaign for Leigh McGilvray and Sean Thomas who lost their beautiful 1924 bungalow home in Altadena. We are immensely grateful that they escaped unharmed, but the road ahead is long.

I have had an over 40 year friendship with Leigh and she is a kind, generous and beautiful soul. I know those of you receiving this would agree. It breaks our hearts to see her and Sean enduring such a loss and having so much financial stress.

They deeply loved and are involved in their Altadena community. In fact, for the last 12 years, Leigh has worked weekly at the Altadena’s Farmers Market and she has been a proud associate member of the Altadena Community Garden. Leigh and Sean have always cherished the electric, diverse, artsy and friendly community. Their favorite things are the “Altadena Hello” where neighbors always intentionally stop and say hello. Leigh and Sean also loved taking advantage of the local hikes and summer concerts at Farnsworth park.

As with many others, not only have they lost absolutely everything, but they have lost this special neighborhood and its beautiful, friendly rhythms and traditions. They need our help to rebuild their lives. They will need money for rent, buying furnishing, clothes, computers and lots of other unknown expenses on the horizon.
