Help leigh Conkie

On the afternoon of August 3rd, the home of Eltham Chainsaw Sculptor Leigh Conkie was gutted by fire. Leigh is much beloved member of the Eltham community, and Leigh has been inundated with messages from friends and the community abroad, wanting to offer their support and help in some way. This is not the first tragedy that Leigh's home has been through, with the 2012 Christmas Day storms flooding Leigh's home, leaving him without home and contents insurance eligibility. As a result this fire has left Leigh with nothing but the clothes on his back. We have decided to start this Go Fund Me page to assist Leigh through this difficult time, to help meet the demands of this terrible situation. We are waiting to find out what is possible with the house and/or land, and will determine the best use of the funds towards Leigh's home at that stage. We will update you as we know more and before the funds are transferred from GoFundMe for this purpose.
