Lela's leukemia presented as many pediatric cases-- almost out of nowhere and with many symptoms that looked like so many other viruses--except one. Lela's tiny body had become covered in bruises. After rushing as fast as safely possible to Children's in what seemed like endless snow her family was told she would be fighting Leukemia for the next few years and to prepare for a lengthy hospital stay effective immediately.
Jacob and Stephanie (Lela's parents) are taking turns staying the night with Lela at the hospital or staying with her little sister, Bianca, at home. Please join Lela and her family in her fight.
