Help Lena beat Inflammatory Breast Cancer

My beautiful daughter, Lena, was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) in January 2022. Lena is a mother to three young children, Alivia, Juliana, and Landon, and loving wife of Dustin.

 

Inflammatory breast cancer is an aggressive disease where cancer cells block lymph vessels in the skin of the breast. IBC is rare, accounting for only 1 - 5 % of all breast cancer diagnoses. Lena's symptoms were originally diagnosed as Mastitis and she was treated with antibiotics. After her second round of antibiotics and her symptoms had not improved, her doctor referred her for more testing. Thankfully her doctors have moved quickly and created a treatment plan for her. She has already had two rounds of chemotherapy and is quickly learning everything she can to help herself heal.

 

Lena's diagnosis was sudden and as is usually the case unexpected. Lena is a fighter and anyone that knows her knows that she doesn't allow much to stop her. As the mother of three beautiful, young children she is always busy and rarely stops to take a moment for herself. She is doing an amazing job of organizing her life and that of her family so that she is able to proceed with her treatments and still have her children's needs met. But she needs help. She can't do this all on her own. Our hope is to give Lena, Dustin, and their family the support that they require so Lena can focus entirely on her care.

 

Asking for donations is never easy. Unfortunately, cancer is expensive, and alleviating her financial stress will go a very long way to help with her battle with this horrible disease. Every donation, every kind word, every prayer goes a long way toward Lena's recovery.
