Help Leni keep custody of her children

Hi there my name is Klara and I am fundraising for my dear friend Leni Suriyani who is currently going through a bitter and nasty divorce and fighting for the custody of her children. Leni doesn't know that I am doing this, she is not the type to ask for help and she is very independent. She is also doing this solo, in a foreign country, with no close friends or family support in Malaysia. She has been so strong for so long fighting this battle, and now I want to help Leni and alleviate some of the stress she has been through in the last four years. She is the most hands on and devoted mother who lives for her boys and deserves to be with them for as long as they need her.

Leni's separation and divorce started in July 2017, her main struggle is fighting for the custody of her children, because she is an Australian living in Malaysia under spousal visa. So far she has paid RM200,000 [$70,000 Aud] in lawyers fees over the years, she still has another RM150,000 [$50,000 Aud] to pay until the end of the case. Her first lawyer, died suddenly of a heart attack in December 2019. In January 2020, Leni had to find herself a new lawyer, delaying her case and almost starting from scratch again. If she loses custody of her children Leni cannot stay in Malaysia on a long term visa, she will have to travel in and out of Malaysia on a tourist visa just to see her children, and under this pandemic situation it is just not possible or feasible to do so. This is just not possible, as her children are the world to Leni, their well being and happiness is so important to her. Leni's youngest son is only 7 years old and is still very dependent on his mother, they have the most beautiful mother and son relationship which must not be torn apart. Leni's older son is 14 and is growing into a young man, he has his own challenges to face, but needs his mum's loving guidance to help him through the tough teenage years. Both boys need their mum, Leni, to love, guide and nurture them through the next tricky phases of their young lives to be happy independent young men.

In the past Leni had paid for all her lawyers fees herself through her successful event planning business, but since the Covid pandemic started, her business has been grounded to a halt and Leni can no longer continue to do her events of any kind. She has resulted to doing many things to earn an income, such as cooking food, selling internet connection, selling whole sale fruit and durian, selling vitamins, pots, pans and cookware just to make ends meet.

This is a surprise GoFundMe, Leni has no idea I am do this for her, but it is least I can do to help her from so far away. The funds raised would be used to help Leni pay for her lawyers fees, as they are quite extensive and take some of the pressure off her shoulders. Leni needs the funds by the end of September 2021, this is to ensure she can pay her lawyers fees until the case is finished.
