Help Leo and Group 9 Aid Hurricane Milton and Helene Victims
Tax deductible
Hey there, I'm Leo, I have been tracking the hurricanes. I am a student at Winston Preparatory School in New York City. I am coordinating a fundraiser through my school to support those affected by Hurricanes Milton and Helene. Your contribution to this fundraiser will make a real difference in helping people overcome these challenges. Thank you for being so supportive!
I am doing this through my school, and each donation will pay for the damages or help pay for medical bills, property costs, funeral bills, food bills, and clean water.
The Problem
- Hurricanes Milton and Helene have caused catastrophic damage to a large area of the Southeastern United States. The effects of this damage are contaminated water, no food, no power, and buildings destroyed. People have lost their homes. Roads are damaged, and areas are flooded. But the storm surge for Milton was up to 20 ft. This hurricane was categorized as a MAJOR Hurricane.
How can we help?
- What we can do to help is fundraising for these terrible times. The money would go to the American Red Cross, Rural Organizing, and Beloved Asheville. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the hurricane relief.
- We can get the word out by sending an email to all of the parents on the Winston NYC. We will include it in the weekly newsletter and have it announced by the student government at the all-school meeting.
